Pro Arte Sablene Brushes are a synthetic alternative to a traditional sable brush, offering an option for artists looking for an animal-friendly brush. Sablene mimics the wide belly and controlled brushstrokes of natural sable hair, and the soft filaments create pockets of air to increase the amount of color that can be held. The Sablene Series 111 One Stroke has a flat head that is perfect for color blocking, painting large backgrounds, and by using the flat on its side, thin lines and crisp edges can be achieved. Larger sizes can be used to paint background washes and for wet-on-wet techniques. The Sablene range is ideal for watercolor, gouache, and ink.
