Isabey Syrus brushes contain a blend of sable and synthetic fiber. One of the best among sable/synthetic blend brushes, the Syrus Sable Blend offers qualities similar to a sable at a fraction of the cost. The brushes have a red handle with a white tip. Isabey have been making brushes in France since 1895. Although the invention of the metal ferrule in the mid 18th century revolutionized the manufacturing process of brushes, the essential techniques have changed little since the 1400s. Isabey have helped to keep this tradition and know-how alive.
